The world around us keeps changing and we are also changing along. Each decision we make every moment has the power to influence the future, for better or for worse. It is precisely for this reason that we are encouraged, with every opportunity, to live consciously and assumed.
In a world of speed, in which information creates real social vertigos, and in which the main filter we apply when making a purchase is “the price”, survival on the market can often mean making a compromise. And more often, the compromise most products and services providers end up making is the welfare of society.
A cheap deal often hides materials of questionable quality, highly polluting technologies (both in production and use), subsistence wages, and overall a promise of existential sickness.
In this context, the European Union, supported by the Ministries of the member countries, as well as the non-governmental environment, issued a series of legislative provisions regarding reserved procurement, procurement with social clauses and green procurement. Through them, the aim is, on the one hand, to reduce the negative effects on the environment and, on the other hand, the social inclusion of people from vulnerable groups.
In a work environment where there is tolerance and encouragement, the quality of employees’ work increases, including for young people and people belonging to ethnic minorities. Consequently, the life quality of the population also increases, thus achieving an important first step towards a better future!
Project’s Goal
Therefore, through this project we aim to support both the legislation in popularizing the provisions related to reserved procurement, procurement with social clauses and green procurement, as well as public institutions and companies in terms of choosing as providers of services / products entities with responsible principles in their mission and activity.
Of course, the goal is to contribute to increasing the quality of people’s lives, primarily by reducing the negative effects on the environment.
Project’s Objectives
1) Participatory development of a implementation guide for social and environmental clauses procurement at the public administration level.
2) Carrying out an advocacy campaign for the adoption of the implementation guide for social and environmental clauses procurement among the public administration and companies.
3) Capacity building of 40 representatives of local and central public administration and 40 representatives of companies in the implementation of social and environmental clauses procurement during a 14 months period.
